This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Yonkers is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Yonkers peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A special mention to Reji Achayan, whose kindness, hospitality, and excellent service made the dining experience even more memorable. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and outstanding food. Finally got to visit this authentic Kerala restaurant. I wasn't disappointed. Really good food (PN: salt is low) keeping health into consideration. I enjoyed their podhichoru. I was really impressed with the quantity considering it was a take away and not dine. I also met Aby. He was such a gentleman and helped me with the order when I arrived at the restaurant. Dine in has limited tables. Also I was told that it gets very busy between 12 to 3 pm. Take away would be advisable during this time period. Especially Friday to Sunday. This is a must visit. I'll be back for more. 👍🏽✅

I traveled about 30 miles to visit this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. When we arrived, the staff at the counter was busy on phone calls, and we had to wait 5–10 minutes before being seated. After waiting further, I asked about halal options and was told only mutton was halal. When I asked about vegetarian meals, I was informed they were running out of Kerala-style rice. Ultimately, we left without ordering. I hope the management ensures proper staffing so guests are attended to promptly. It’s discouraging when a visit you’ve been looking forward to turns out this way.

My wife and I shared a lovely meal here last weekend. The food was delicious and high-quality (not too oily or salty), and the service was delightful. The restaurant operator was very friendly and pleasant to chat with. It’s a small, no-frills sort of place, but nevertheless charming and inviting. Highly recommend.

Revised 01/10/25 630pm Thank you for a wonderful meal. It was a pleasure to dine in this restaurant. The name change to Aby’s and new owner has not changed the quality of meals here. I hope to visit often. ——————— Today was our first visit here. Ron was an excellent host. The interior seating is small yet cozy. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Fish Curry Lunch Box. Both meals were large portions, tasted great and reminsant of southern home Indian cooking. Parking is amble for about 20 vehicles. Restaurant is located on a quiet street, passing traffic was minimum. Recommend for catering, eat in or delivery.
